Pene is a Partner in the Facultative Reinsurance team with a focus on Marine. Pene has 20 years of Marine Insurance experience. His first role was at Vero National Marine in Australia before immigrating to London to focus specifically on Marine Liabilities. Initially this was at The Shipowners P&I Club before entering the commercial insurance market at RSA. That then lead to the opportunity to build out an offering at Allied World Assurance Company (AWAC) before moving to AIG to take up the Head of Marine Liability role. After 18yrs of Underwriting, a move into the Broking world came available leveraging the many years of expertise, knowledge and relationships for a short while at Miller Brokers, before accepting the role here at McGill and Partners.
